As we already reported in the past, lowest unique number auction sites offer players the chance of using their skill and jugdment to win prizes online. Also known as reverse auctions, these types of prize competitions require players to bid the lowest unique number to win the top prize.
While lowest unique auctions usually require winners to buy the product at their bid price, some prize competition sites simply give away the prize to the player who submitted the winning bid. We have been following with interest developments surrounding the Devon property with fishing competition organised by Brian and Wendy Wilshaw last year. Although all tickets were successfully sold out two months in advance, the couple were forced to hold off picking a winner at the last minute due to legal constraints. Nearly three months later, the Wilshaws are still awaiting a satisfactory resolution of the situation. |

A few weeks have passed since Brian and Wendy Wilshaw received the unfortunate news from the Gambling Commission that they would not be able to run the draw to pick a winner as originally planned. Just a week away from when the competition should have originally ended (had tickets not sold out early), it seems that the Oldborough Retreat has still not been given away. |

In a last minute twist, it seems that the Oldborough Retreat prize draw, scheduled for today, has been postponed. In a blow to Brian and Wendy Wilshaw's plan to give away the property in their own draw to avoid the fall in the housing market, the Gambling Commission has started a late investigation into how they organised their competition. |
