Tesco, the large UK supermarket, have partnered up with 1Click2Fame, an online reality talent website, to help promote a competition giving away up to £100,000. Recording booths will be set up in Tesco supermarkets to encourage customers to record and upload their videos, to be submitted in the contest. This innovative partnership is designed in part to compete with successful incumbent reality TV talent competitions, such as Simon Cowell's X Factor in the UK.

Many of you will already be aware of this, but it's worth remembering that big radio companies often have give-aways and freebies to be won on their websites. After all, radio stations are often a great platform for companies to launch their products. Virgin Radio have a good website with a good selection of competitions and free prizes up for grabs. Worth a look if you have some spare time and you're looking for a competition to enter.

I Love Comps is an online club offering cheaper entry into a range of magazine and online competitions. The idea is that instead of entering in the traditional way through the post, by joining I Love Comps you can enter online. The price is £15 per subscription year, then 10p to enter each competition. The website compares entering 25 competitions by post (cost of £7.50 on average) versus entering 25 competitions via I Love Comps (£2.50 on average). This comparison doesn't include the annual £15 subscription fee.
