The Concept behind Franklins Speed Detecting Competition is simple 500 Detectorists skilfully challenge each other in 80 Knockout heats over 2 days Concluding in 5 Major Cash Prize Winners You can either use your own detector or we will supply you with one of ours. Competitor numbers are stricly limited to 500 participants on a first come first served basis. Entrance fee to the competition will cost £50 per participant. Each knockout round will consist of 8 detectorists who will compete against each other, aiming to find randomly planted non-ferrous tokens in our sand filled 372 sq mt detecting area for a period of 3 minutes, after this time, each detectors tokens (if any) will be added together and the winner of each round will be elegible for the final stages to win the cash prizes.
